CULTURE

Culture is tied to identity and is celebrated in all its forms at Wainuiomata Intermediate.

From Pasifika and Kapa Haka performance groups that are open to all students, to our area competitions that build pride within our school, we are always looking to develop and strengthen our school culture.

We celebrate diversity and welcome input from students and their families on how we can make their culture visible in our school. We want to ensure everybody feels welcome, included and valued within our school.

Our Māori Bilingual class Te Kāhui Tamariki (The gathering of the Children) is an option for students wanting to explore and extend their learning within a Māori worldview.

One of our school values is Whanaungatanga, and we try to build that sense of family into everything that we do at Wainuiomata Intermediate.
